Click on this down arrow, and you will see an option 'Always Open Files of This Type'. Click on that option, and that file type will always auto-open in future.  · Show open tabs. However, you can 'tell' Chrome to open the file instead of download it. Click on this down arrow, and you will see an option 'Always Open Files of. If you want to disable it for only one file type, download a file of the same type or just drag drop one onto Chrome. When it appears in the download bar, click the little arrow next to it and uncheck the ‘Always open files of this type’ option.
